MARBLE MOUNTAINS & CHAM MUSEUM FULL DAY TOUR

 
Marble Mountains is located about 12km South East of Danang city. Marble Mountain referred to as Ngu Hanh Son or Mountains of the Five Elements, consist of five Marble Mountains : Thuy Son (water ) which is the highest, Moc Son ( wood ), Kim Son ( metal ),Tho Son ( soil ), and Hoa Son ( fire ). They are located 12 km to the West of Da Nang.

 

Cham Museum was build in 1915 with the financial support of the French Far-East Research Institute in Viet Nam. At present, the Museum displays approximately 300 sculptures, among which some are made from terracotta from the period between the 5th to 15th centuries. The works were collected from Cham temples and towers throughout Central Viet Nam, more specifically is the area stretching from Quang Binh to Binh Thuan. All the sculptures are displayed in ten showrooms named after where the pieces were discovered. After viewing the pieces in the showrooms, you can visit outside exhibition spaces.

08:00: the local guide pick you up at the hotel’s lobby and then depart for Ngu Hanh Son ( Moutains of the Five Elements ). Climb up the Thuy Son ( Water ) by the stone stairs and enjoy the panoramic view of the nearby countryside, and visit Huyen Khong cave before entering Tam Thai and Linh Ung pagodas. Take a rest at the foot of the mountain, where you can visit Non Nuoc stone village. Here, you can see the local skillful sculptors creating many marble products which are introduced to many countries in the world. On the way to Da Nang, visit the Cham museum, where still remains a lot of Cham vestiges.

13:00 :  Have a lunch before back to Hoi An.
